W weir-type metal-body diaphragm valve
The W diaphragm valve has a raised weir in the flow passage. The diaphragm closes against this region and isolates the operating mechanism from the fluid. This type is described for fluids with low solid-particle content. Metal body options include cast iron, ductile iron, carbon steel and stainless steel. Select diaphragm and lining materials for fluid and temperature compatibility. An over-closure limiter and open-position indicator are described.
